It generates links based on the launcher basis URL format.
With the joys of HTML and JavaScript I was able to make it simple and clear. Features:
- You can open the current patch selected by clicking "Download"
- You can add the current patch selected to a list by clicking "Add to a list"
- You can open the current item on the list by double-clicking on it
- You can copy all links in the list by clicking "Copy Links"
- You can reset the list by clicking "Clear List"
- If you want to study the code, it's all on the source.
Current Version:
ATTENTION! Not all links generated will work.
This is because EA don't have the specific file on the server, obviously.
The "Copy Links" button of the custom list only works with IE.
I wrote the script to automatically identify it:
IF you are not using IE, it will open a new window with the links, all you have to do is CTRL+C;
I had to do this because many NCSA browsers don't accept direct transfer to clipboard data.

ReplyDeleteI've noticed above that the digital HELS 3.8.6 doesn't work but I also have a problem with the US version of it. Is it also EA's fault or am I doing anything wrong? (the other updates work without any problems for me). I also tried the Cumulative link but it seems to be down.

It is working fine. Must've been the EA servers at the time you tried.
ReplyDeleteIf a link isn't working it isn't the generator fault, it just uses string manipulation over the patch filename pattern EA uses.
So if it's not available is because either:
- It doesn't exist
- It never existed
- EA removed from their servers

ReplyDeleteI didn't mean I had any problems with downloading the HELS 3.8.6 (US) patch but I had a problem with installing it. Every time I try to install it I get the error during installation that an incorrect file has been find. First I thought that I didn't have the original HELS 3.6.6 file so I downloaded it and replaced it in my game. It didn't help though. Then I completely reinstalled my HELS. After reinstalling it I didn't have any problems with patching it to the version 3.6.6 but then again I had the same problem as before when I tried to patch it to the version 3.8.6.
I also would like to mention that I don't keep any custom content in my game so I really don't know why I can't patch it. Do you have any suggestions how I could resolve my problem?

I had a problem with updating High-End Loft Stuff to 3.9.6.009001 - the installing program was asking me to free more than 20GB of my disc space which was ridiculous as I already had more than 20GB disc space free. I had the same problems, was getting Incorrect file error in basically all EPs and SPs.
ReplyDeleteI solved it by using a cumulative patch instead of a incremental patch.
Go to Patch Table Generator and use the "Cumulative Patches" > "New URL (to X)".
If that error persists there's not much space left to doubt, unless you did modified a game file (Crack, Memory Address Flags, ...) you will not be able to do much if not uinstall the specified EP/SP and install it again and patch the cumulative to the latest.
Thank you for your suggestions - it seems really cool to use "Cumulative Patches". Unfortunately, I couldn't really test them cos before I received your reply I had decided to reinstall my whole game. Then I was able to update it to 1.18/2.13/3.9/4.6/5.4/6.1 but while running it now I get the warning that I use unofficial patches so that my game can break and I should get official updates to avoid it (not all the patches downloaded from your site worked for me so I got some patches from other sites).

That message, I think you are misleading with unupdated content.
Like XML tuning mods made for other patches that might not be compatible with last version.
Cindy, EA seems to left many bugs in past, might be complicated ones and they left to fix with the launch of a expansion.

I personally prefer the table generator over this one as that one you can see the structure that flows.

ReplyDeleteI don't mean that the warning I get when I start my game is caused by patches I downloaded from your site. As I wrote in my previous post some patches didn't work for me (incorrect file error) so I downloaded them from other sites like: http://www.simprograms.com or http://www.patches-scrolls.de/. For example I couldn't update my Fast Lane Stuff to 5.4.4.009001. It didn't help when I reinstalled it. I even couldn't use your Patch Table Generator (Cumulative Patched - New URL) to update it.
The warning regarding unofficial patches can't be caused by any mods cos I've never used any. What's more, I reinstalled my whole game so it was completely clean when I was updating it (it didn't have any modified stuff).
Anyway, a choice I have is to play the game which is not updated to last versions or get the warning every time I start my game. I haven't noticed my game breaking yet but the warning is a bit annoying. I have no idea to resolve this problem though.

As for your problem, maybe you are downloading and installing different regions of the patches besides the ones you have?
It could explain why it shows as you were installing "unofficial" patches though.
The regions were compatible with my game, however, you're right that "incorrect file error" sounds as if they weren't. As for the warning about an unofficial modification, I guess that I could identify which patch exactly causes it, if I run my game each time after I have updated it. It would take much too long though... .

Using a hex generator I made my character so that when you create a pupil yo uhave a 100% chance of gettin a bear at level 3 you also have a 50% chance at getting it right once you start, I'm only doing this for the experience, or I wouldn't be helping people ... Do this before they patch it I think it might happen soon ....

Johana, as I stated in the Table Generator, it seems like there is a new format going on.
